Effective date: August 11, 2026
This policy explains how WorkZone Software, LLC (“WorkZone,” “we,” “us”) handles data collected through the WorkZone platform (the “Platform”) and this marketing website. It is written for prospective customers evaluating WorkZone before a purchase; the definitive terms for a paying customer are the data-processing terms in that customer’s signed agreement, which this policy is consistent with but does not replace.
Who this applies to
- Visitors to this website, including anyone who submits the book-a-demo form.
- Customers — construction companies and their authorized users who operate the Platform once under contract.
What we collect
From this website: the information you submit through the book-a-demo form — name, email address, phone number (optional), company name (optional), and any message you include. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising pixels on this site.
From the Platform (customers only): jobsite recordings, photos, reports, geolocation and timestamp metadata, and related compliance records that your organization’s users capture through the Field Capture App and Customer Operations Console. This category can include images of people and vehicles present on a jobsite.
Who owns customer data
The customer owns the operational data it generates on the Platform. Recordings, reports, and compliance records your organization creates belong to your organization, not to WorkZone.
WorkZone holds a limited, internal-use license. Under the customer agreement, WorkZone is licensed to use that data internally — to operate, support, and improve the Platform, and to train the computer-vision and safety models the Platform runs on. As part of that improvement work, when a supervisor confirms or rejects an AI-flagged hazard, that labeled decision may be used as training data that improves model quality across WorkZone’s customer base.
Customer data is not sold. WorkZone does not sell customer data, and does not disclose it to third parties outside of: (a) subprocessors who help operate the Platform (e.g., cloud hosting) under confidentiality obligations, (b) a party your organization explicitly authorizes (for example, a read-only third-party viewer role you grant on a project), or (c) where required by law.
How we protect data
Recordings and reports are stored with per-customer access controls, so one customer’s data is never visible to another. WorkZone Software staff access to customer data is limited to what’s needed to operate and support the Platform, and administrative actions are logged.
Your choices
If you submitted the book-a-demo form and want your contact information removed before you become a customer, email us at hello@wz-software.com and we will delete it. Customers manage data retention and access for their own organization’s Platform data through their agreement and the Customer Operations Console.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update the effective date above when this policy changes, and post the updated version here.
